2019 Audi A4 Spied With Front Facia Updates

Vehicles undergoing a mid-cycle refresh is a normal occurrence and the latest model to receive a slight update is the 2019 Audi A4, which was recently spied testing on public roads in Germany by CarScoops photographers.

Starting from the rear, Audi hasnít made any dramatic changes and only added a new diffuser along with a more rectangular set of exhaust pipes compared to the previous model yearís circular ones.

The front however, seems to have received a few more updates if the camouflage is any indication. Still using the same headlights as the outgoing model, this could change at a later date. For now, we can clearly make out a new set of air intakes with black mesh and matching dark fog lights. They also have a sharper downwards angle for a more aggressive look. Overall, nothing dramatic as this is just a facelift and not a complete redesign.

We canít expect much to change in the cabin either, perhaps a few more color combinations or optional upholstery materials. Maybe even some tech updates like additional active safety and connectivity systems, though donít expect to see the A6ís Parking Pilot function anytime soon.

No official release date has been revealed yet, though we do suspect the new A4 to debut as a 2019 model.

Aside from the air vents, it looks pretty much the same as what we're currently getting on the A4. Then again this is a mid-cycle refresh so I'm not expecting much, what is nice will be the price reduction on current models for those who have not picked one up yet.

I'm hoping there's a bit of a facelift on the inside as well, as I think its about time Audi brings the infotainment and safety systems found on the A6 and A8 to this model. I'm pretty sure this model was last updated in 2015, so I wonder why they decided to change so little. I guess if it aint broke.

After seeing how the new Audi A7 looks, I'm rather disappointed in what we're getting here. Its watered down but works to Audi's advantage of doing this to a higher volume product.

I was hoping for a rework of the front and rear lights.

I like the present B9 overall, but I think Audi have lost the ability to design stylish light shapes. New A6 rear lens shape looks especially unshapely and inelegant imho.
