2014-17 Audi A4, A5 Recalled

This only affects the 1398 cars fitted with the optional sound systems and it seems to be in Australia only. Audi Australia was the one who issued the recall for A4 and A5 models built with the optional Bang & Olufsen sound system between October 2014 and October 2017. Problem was, some of the trim pieces could come loose and the aluminium trim strips could jut out.

Car Advice has the rundown:
The German marque reports the A4 sedan, Avant and Allroad along with A5 Sportbacks with the cost-option audio system could be fitted with faulty aluminium strips in the loudspeaker of the front and rear doors.

If the condition occurs, the ends of the aluminium trim strips could com loose and protrude, which could cause cuts and “other injuries” to occupants from the sharp edges.

I suppose that the odds of this happening are increased for those who listen to their music loud. I'm assuming that it's the vibrations that are leading to trim pieces becoming loose? Glad to see its only affects a select few models.

I'm guessing that's the case if someone were to listed to songs with a lot of base, that rattling could loosen the trim over time and a scratch may be the least of their worries if anything happens. Should be an easy fix since it's just a rim piece instead of anything huge. Supply of the piece should be quick as well with so few cars affected.
